Welcome, once again, to Painting by Allan. Allan is a native West Virginian who, along with his high school diploma, received a draft notice. He served four years in Viet Nam.

Once Allan left the Air Force, he experienced various issues due to PTSD, which was not a recognized illness and received no treatment. He took up oil painting as a way to cope with the stress. He has never had formal training and prefers oils, though he sometimes sketches.
